Jeanne Wang is the Founder and Managing Partner of Village Search Partners, an investment fund focused on backing exceptional women acquiring and growing small, profitable businesses.
Jeanne brings more than 30 years of experience across investing, consulting, operating roles, and board service. After graduating from Wharton, she began her career in investment banking before moving into private equity. With 15 years of experience as a private equity investor, Jeanne invested in small and middle-market businesses across a range of industries, sourcing and executing acquisitions and working closely with management teams on growth, strategy, and operations while serving on company boards. She also consulted with small businesses and functioned as the CFO of a restaurant startup.
Jeanne’s appreciation for entrepreneurship started early, growing up in a family business, and continued throughout a career spent working alongside business owners and management teams. She has seen firsthand the opportunities that business ownership can create—and how few women have historically had access to them. Village Search Partners brings those experiences together, allowing Jeanne to use what she has learned over her career to help more women become CEOs and business owners.
Jeanne is also the co-creator of the Women Searchers Community, a network of over 600 members supporting women pursuing entrepreneurship through acquisition. What started as a way to connect a handful of women on the same journey has grown into a community where women share advice, make introductions, celebrate wins, and help each other through the inevitable ups and downs of buying and running a business. Through both Village Search Partners and the Women Searchers Community, Jeanne is working to create more pathways for women to become owners and build wealth through ownership.
Jeanne lives by a “work hard, play hard” philosophy. When she isn't working, you can find her golfing with her husband, taking power yoga classes with her daughters, walking her dog Curry (yes, she's a Warriors fan!), playing tennis, hiking with friends, and traveling. She has been fortunate to explore all seven continents.
